TTC for 12 months for 1st at 30.5yr old. Do we try IUI or skip to IVF?

Cannot get into an RE in our area until May 15 2019. Hoping for a cancellation so we can move up...just wondering if IUI really has success or if we should prepare for IVF? My husband is 40, I'm 30...

Have you done any testing? Typically there is a battery of tests. Then a discussion about the best approach. If you've done the testing and tried various techniques already you may not have a choice. But it's not really something we can tell you. Good luck to you guys, hopefully a cancellation pops.

You have to see what’s going on to see the best route. Take it one step at a time, both of you get blood work done, genetic testing, then hsg for you, then sperm analysis for him.  
We both had lots of tests and we were told to skip iui and go to ivf. We are trying clomid for a few months first though. Not sure where you live but ivf is very expensive if your insurance doesn’t cover it
