How many ounces should I freeze?

My son is 3 months old how many ounces should I freeze? I exclusively breastfeed him and he never has bottles so I don’t know how many ounces he’s actually getting but I have to freeze milk because I go back to work soon

My son's pediatrician said 1-1.25 ounces for every hour he's away from you. I drop my son off at 7:30 am and pick up at 4:30 pm. He normally drinks 10-11 ounces during that time. I gave his sitter and extra 5 ounces on the first day I dropped him off. So far, she hasn't had to get the extra milk out. I usually pump 3 times while I'm away from him and have enough for what he needs for the next day, plus about 6-8 extra ounces. Hope this helped!!

Start with bottles first to find out how much baby will eat. I started with freezing everything in 3oz bags and then my son eats 4.5-5oz so I sometimes waste milk because it’s in the wrong measurements.

Start introducing a bottle now because it could take a while for baby to get used to the bottle. And this way you will also know how many ounces he drinks in a day and therefore how much to freeze.

I’m sorry idk ounces but I’ve been freezing bags with 250mls so when I defrost them it’ll be 2 bottles worth, my bub is almost 5 months now and has had a bottle only a handful of times, sometimes he’ll eat a tiny bit, sometimes it’s been the perfect amount and other times he’s wanted more
