I know my LO is overeating. He is 2 weeks old. He’ll nurse on each breast for 30 mins each, spit up, show signs of hunger, I’ll give him a few ounces of bottle breast milk, spit up, show hunger again. I try a pacifier in between each feed and he spits it out and roots for milk again. He likes pacifiers, so I know that’s not it. When I pump I produce almost 3 oz each breast, so I know I’m producing. When he’s fed only a bottle, he’ll take 4oz and be okay. I really don’t know what to do. The concern is the fact that he spits up every feeding. I do have an overactive letdown, but he hasn’t been choking the past few times so I think he’s managing it better. Starting his next feedings I was going to try to stop his nursing after 10-15 mins each since I know that’s when my milk slows down while pumping. Is there any cause for concern or any insight as to why he does this? Has anyone dealt with this? I’m concerned for his tummy troubles.
