Writing your own vows?

Question

It’s been almost a year since we got engaged and we’ve decided to get married on the day we got engaged on- so I only have a couple days left and I want to write my own vows but I’m having trouble putting my thoughts and feelings on paper because there’s so much I want to say but I know it can’t be too long
Anyone else writing their own vows or have any advice?

When writing your vows it’s soooo important to be natural. If your not naturally a joker, don’t try make people laugh now. If you’re not philosophical, don’t try to write super enlightened and reflective. Just be yourself and speak from the heart. 
I think it’s best to start with reasons you love your partner and the finish with your actual vows. 
With the reasons, just write down a bunch of things you appreciate about him and words that describe him and then once you have that, try put it into a small paragraph. 
Then with the vows, think about things he loves - video games, chocolate, beer, exercise, reading etc and try to personalise your vows around that. Make them things you will actually be able to follow through with (or at least try to follow through with). 
REASONS - Patrick (or whatever his name is), I love you and I am so happy that I will get to have you as my husband. You are such a thoughtful and compassionate man. The love you have in your heart for your friends and family make me so excited to stand by your side as we do life together. You make me laugh when I’m cranky. You make me want to be a better person. You make the world seem like a much more magical place, just by having you near me. Etc etc. 
VOWS - I love you so much. I actually find it difficult to articulate the extent of my love for you because I don’t think words can actually explain how I feel. So I guess I will show you how I feel every day for the rest of my life. With that I promise to always do my best 
I promise to always make sure we have a packet of Tim Tams in the fridge for when you get peckish. I will be honest when you need the hard truth and I will flatter you when you need to be lifted up. I will tell you how manly and strong you are when you save me from spiders. I will do my best not to talk too much while you’re playing Xbox. I promise to make sure there are cold beers in the fridge on a Saturday night for you. I will do my best to pick my battles with you and not stress the small stuff. I will let you pick the movie at least every second time when when have movie dates. I will love you when you’re old and grey and you can’t remember where you put your dentures. I will always stand by your side, proud to call you my husband. And I promise to tell you my more X-rated vows when we are alone later 😉 
Okay, so that last one is a bit cheeky and I’m sure there is plenty in there that isn’t relevant to you. But I hope this helps you start. If you need extra help, feel free to massage me. 😊

Probably not the best advise but it worked for me I wrote 3 different ones and within those found the most important thing I wanted to say in each and combined them

For my vows, I explained how I remembered being a little girl playing in a grass field with friends talking about the qualities we wanted in our husbands one day. I remembered saying I wanted him to be funny, kind and handsome. I then said something like “growing up, I added more qualities like smart, hard working and a family man.” & told him how he is all of those qualities and even then he is so much more. Then i went into my vows explaining to always be his best friend, to push him when he doesn’t feel motivated himself and to always love and support him. To be the best wife and mother God will allow me to be. Ended it with “these are my vows to you. I love you.” 
I had constantly thought about how I wanted to write my vows and didn’t officially write them until the night before. Just had it all laid out in my head.
