Can I go to the doctors?

So I’m 17, my mom usually always makes my doctors appointment but can I go in by myself? I have medi-cal so they never charged my mom, will they charge me if I go?

You can go to the doctors and they can’t tell her anything. They are sworn to secrecy even from police and your parents. Your medical file will be beg. If you’re pregnant you may need a different plan so eventually you should tell your mom because you’d be needing a new plan but it’s up to you to tell her. So if you’re getting a pregnancy test, birth control, std testing, or just a checkup they can’t tel anyone past the age of 15 and your parents or whoever else couldn’t find out even if they wanted to. And your plan will still charge you the same as always, which in your case is free 😊. But you’ll probably need your medical card and you’ll need identification
