TMI...Mucus before period

So according to Glow, I’m suppose to start my period on Monday. When I went to wipe, it was rust-colored mucus. Like egg-white type cm with lite rust colored mucus. I have never experienced this before my period has started. Is this normal? Also ttc for 2yrs., Thanks PCOS!
