Insurance coverage??

Probably a dumb question, but my insurance is through my husbands work. Its BCBS. How do I figure out whats covered and what's not? Do I assume every visit is paid out if pocket up until we hit our deductable?

Usually prenatal appointments are 100% covered by insurance but the birth is not. Ultrasounds might not be covered either.
You can find out your plan details on blue cross' online website but you'll need to log in.
Also, the baby should be covered under your insurance for I think the first month (charges for the baby go to your deductible and everything) before they have to be added as a separate person to the plan. So, you won't have to meet a separate deductible for the baby's stay in the hospital for example.

I went online and looked up what my bcbs plan covered and for me it’s all 100% prenatal and then delivery is covered at 100% if my deductible is met.

Just call BCBS using the number on the back of your insurance card. They’ll walk you through everything!

Contact BCBS. They should provide you with a list of covered services. I have BCBS as well. I have to meet my deductible and any copays first. Then the insurance covers a percentage after that.
