Would you be mad?

Question

My boyfriend and I were in the middle of a call when he says that he’s going to hangout with some friends and light off some fireworks and I didn’t want him to because one, we were in the middle of then call and two, I’ve waited all day to be able to call him since he was at work, and three we haven’t been able to call for 3 days now. then this is what he says

im really upset right now and I’m pretty sure he knows it

Ummmm I would be like why cant you call just bc your friends are there....sounds kinda suspicious to me....but yes I would be upset

maybe you should communicate a little better and be straight forward. if you’re upset, say yeah, im upset. men can be idiots and not take the hint, when you say “im fine” he’s probably a little more likely to blow it off. tell him when something bothers you, like this.

Well I would be mad if any of my friends said they were going to light illegal fireworks, most especially my boyfriend. I don’t think the calling part in general would be a huge issue, unless he had promised that he would talk to you for a while. But the fireworks part would make me more upset, because that’s just stupid.

Honestly you sound a little controlling. Everybody’s different though, I wouldn’t be upset. He told you where he was going and why etc. He apologized get over it

If he says he'll make it up to you I don't see the problem. At least he texted you letting you know he won't be able to call instead of leaving you hanging. That's communication as well.

Honestly i don’t see a problem with it. My husband goes to his friends and doesn’t text me or call me until he needs a ride home or to tell me he’s staying the night. Before we got married he’d go to his friends to drink and he’d either not say anything to me or he’d drunk FaceTime me with all his friends. He apologized so give it up. I don’t even get why hes apologizing... sometimes you cant call and that’s just what it is. I have to go weeks without hearing from my husband because of his job. You’ll be fine. He can hang out with his friends without calling you.. your not his mom.. he shouldn’t have to call or check in with you.

I’d be disappointed in not talking to him, but understanding and come up with a way for him to make it up to me. A special day or something

And why can’t he call just because his friends are there? I understand him not having long conversations, but why not a quick call?

I don’t see the problem. I don’t expect my SO to be talking to me or with me every waking second of the day. He can hang out with his friends if he wants to. The only reason I would be upset is if he already had plans that had been paid for

I honestly think you are exaggerating. 
1. He's allowed to hang out with his friends, he can have a life outside if you and doesn't need your permission for this. You come across as a bit controlling.
2. He apologized profusely for it offering to make it up to you, which you declined saying there's no need to.
3. You are not honest with him telling him ur fine when ur not, it seems like you need to learn better, more honest  communication. 
What would concern me though is that he does things that requires him and his friends to hide from the police. But I'm guessing both of you are very young from this post.
