I just got back from holidays with my husband and 2 year old son, and caught the flu. I went to the hospital yesterday and got tested for influenza A & B and A came back positive. Two days earlier I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant. Since I’m pregnant I am regarded high risk for flu complications such as pneumonia so they have started me on antiviral medicine. The antivirals (oseltamivir) are for 5 days. There is little evidence on whether it is going to affect the baby. Has anyone experienced this before?
