Who suffers from PPD and/or PPA?

Curious for all the August mommies. If Yes, which one do you have or maybe both? Pls leave a comment if you want to share something! Myself I am dealing with PPA now.

I had major depression and anxiety before I got pregnant so I didn’t really notice a difference.

PPA. It was awful for a few months. Thankfully it has calmed down a bit but it's still there.

I've got both but the anxiety was really bad. I am now on medication

I've been suffering from Major Depression since 2015, so it's pretty much the same for me. But I did have a lot of PPA the first 3 months. After the 3 month mark I started feeling better.

My anxiety really got crazy in December.  Since my daughter was born in August I thought I just had normal first time mom anxiety but it's been getting worse over the past month or 2.
I think it's a combo of winter, hormones, exhaustion... but I went to my dr and got a prescription for cipralex. Feeling much better.

PPD, I've tried seeing a counselor but it seemed to have gotten worse. I just write everything I'm feeling down.

I ended up seeing a counselor I had seen before and got back on medicine. I hadn't taken medicine since March 17. I was only treated from September 16 to March 17. It is fair to say I've dealt with some sort of depression and anxiety all my life just not this bad or related to another human.(about my child) I'm glad I went to see a psychiatrist for the medicine rather than my primary dr, the psych was able to rx trintellix. Trintellix is a new med with no weight gain or sexual side effects. So far I was able to take my son to a major football game in a huge stadium with little anxiety. He had ear protection btw.

I have both. Started in July 2016, was able to stabilize, got pregnant again (my August baby), and it arose again. I’ve been on Zoloft the whole time.

I’ve dealt with anxiety for 15 years but had a really good handle on it. Kept it under control all through pregnancy then 3 months pp it hit me like a truck. Soooo bad. It seems to be calming down a bit now at 5 months pp.
