OPK?!? Hmmm

My obgyn said not to use the opk’s (I know I ovulate), because they’re not as reliable as they say. I also had a friend who tracked for months using them and after two months lf stopping and listening to her body (cm, cramping, etc.) became pregnant. She truly believes the tests were throwing her off. Anyone else’s obgyn say the same? Im torn. This is my first month after 7 month TTC that Im not peeing on sticks and just trying to read my bodies signals. Thoughts?!?
