Weird, is it a period or not

So this will be totally TMI but I'm so confused!! Been tracking my cycles in attempts to get pregnant. So randomly started having a small amount of Frank red bleeding 3 or 4 days before my cycle was due, figured I was just starting. ...

Well its tapered off to just brown discharge and no cramping (which I usually have) no bleeding or anything to day but mild cramping just today. I'm just so confused and discouraged :/
