FTM ! Is there any way to loosen your mucus plug ? #36 weeks

Can I ask why you would want to loosen it at 36w? Your baby could potentially still have 4-5 weeks of growing to do. 
I don’t think anything will loosen it til your body is ready to go in to labour.

Your mucus plug will fall out and regenerate throughout your pregnancy unless it's time for baby to come. You can try taking Primrose oil capsules orally or placing one a day vaginally to help soften your cervix though.

I would wait at least another week. Babies can still have nicu time at 36 weeks and you likely would need steriod shots while in labor to keep your baby breathing. Jaundice is also another thing. I hate being pregnant so much but i didnt start trying anything until i turned 37 weeks. 
The mucus plug doesnt mean anything though. If you use evening primrose it will help soften and efface you

Why do you want to loosen it ?

Answer

Losing your mucous plug doesn’t mean anything. It’s not something that has to come out for labor to start. Not sure why you would even want anything to happen that early.
