Your experiences- Ultrasound at first dr visit?

I called my OBGYN this morning to tell them about my BFP from this weekend and they scheduled me for this Wednesday! I’m so happy that it’s close, idk how I’d wait longer. However, they didn’t ask me when my last period was. Do you think they’ll be doing a dating scan or vaginal ultrasound? Wondering what to expect since this is my first! Husband is so excited and going with me, I hope we get to see something 😊 what was your first visit like?

I had my first prenatal visit at 8 weeks but no ultrasound until 12 weeks. I was given two due dates throughout the pregnancy (there was some confusion about dating because of a miscarriage immediately before) and both were wrong lol

When I got my BFP, I called my Dr and they scheduled me to come in a few days later. I was 4 weeks then and all they did on that first visit was get my blood work done. My next appt I’ll be 6 weeks and they’ll do a transvaginal ultrasound.

When I had my first ultrasound, they did a vaginal ultrasound but it was the dating scan. They asked me at the appt when my last period was and then compared that to what they were seeing on the ultrasound.
