Long story short I'm sick. Because I'm a teacher, the few sick days I have (new to my district) are the only paid days I will get for maternity leave. I was able to take today as an emergency sick day for my daughter (who had croup Wed-Sun and hubby stayed home with her those days) and it doesn't subtract from what I will get paid for maternity leave. However, I still have a fever and headache - plus my back is super sore from going out on Sunday. My nose is super congested and there's pressure in my head still. Would you call in and forego the sick paid day for maternity later or go in and save the money for when you'll be off?
