NIPT test?

Hi ladies 
Has anybody done the NIPT test?
Is it covered by the insurance? If not how much does it cost?
We live in California, US and wanted to do the test but I was not sure if it is covered or not

You’ll need to call your insurance to see what they cover. Each person’s coverage is different, so thats the only way to find out your specific coverage.

It depends on your insurance company. It sometimes, depending on the state you live in, will also depend on your age. Some insurance companies will cover it if you are 35 or over but may only cover a portion of it or none at all of you are younger. Best thing to do is call you insurance company. Price seems to range all over the place from $800-2000.

Just did mine today. Because I am not a “high risk pregnancy”, this was not covered by OHIP (I’m in Ontario, Canada). 
I don’t believe it’s covered by my insurance (will see), but it was $550 out of pocket. You pay when you get the test done. 
Wanted to piece of mind so paying was worth it for me. I did the Panorama Testing via Lifelabs.
