GD question

I’m 33 weeks and was just put on watch for GD due to my sons large size (>97th percentile) The same thing happened with my first son as well, I ended up not having it...he was just a really big baby. My blood sugar first thing in the morning is a little above 90 (the rest of the day has been completely normal) so I was told by my doctor I have GD and have to see an endocrinologist. Has this ever happened to anyone?? I passed my glucose intolerant test at 24 weeks!
