We have 2 boys, 20 months and 4 months old. I will be 34 in February and my husband will be 40 in March. We want to be done having kids by the time I am 35 for many reasons and have given ourselves a deadline of my 34th birthday to decide if we want to try again.

We keep going back and forth. It would be great to have a little girl, and even if we had a 3rd boy, we would be happy because we love our boys. However, we just bought a house and the most we could afford was a 3 bedroom. The house is the perfect size for a family of 4. I don’t know if our boys would be happier with another sibling to play with and love, or if they would be happier having their own bedrooms and space, as well as more parent attention that is less divided. I don’t want to make a decision just based on what me and my husband want, but also based on what is best for my boys.

Another thing to consider, Is having 3 kids under 3 going to completely kill me? 😂

Our house closes on Valentine’s Day, which is in my first ovulation window after my birthday. So should we move all of the baby stuff to the new house and give it another try? Or should we donate everything my youngest has grown out of, lighten our load, and get my husband scheduled for a vasectomy?

Btw, we make very sweet, kind hearted babies.
