Do you think the mother should get a little bit more say than the father when decided on a first name?? Please read description before voting.
Before I explain my reasoning, I want everyone to know that I think that BOTH parents should have a say in the name of the child and both should ultimately be happy with the final decision. In an ideal world, that’s exactly what would happen.
But for my particular circumstance my partner and I have very different ideas for our future children’s names and deciding on one will be hard. I think that when my partner and I have kids, I should have a little more say when deciding on the first name of our children.
My children will be getting his last name (we won’t hyphenate due to the length of our names), and I will go through 40 weeks of growing the little human inside of me PLUS having the beautiful child use my body as a food source for the first year of its life.
We talked about me deciding on the first kid and him deciding on the second kid, but I REALLY hate the names he has chosen and would be so upset if they ended up being our kids names.
I’m not trying to start an argument and I really don’t want any rude comments please. But I do want to hear other people’s opinions. 😊
My partner is an easy going guy and we don’t fight at all. But decided on a name for our future children might just be the first fight we ever have 😂🤦♀️
