Work from home?

Question

Anyone thinking of staying at home, with possibly working part time remotely, and having your partner work full time? To be honest, I’m having a real hard time thinking of going to work when the baby comes- and if I’m going to establish working remotely I should do it soon. 
Does anyone work from home? What are your thoughts?

I’m really lucky to live in a country (Finland in Northern Europe) where I get to stay home for 4months after baby is born with 60% of my monthly salary. And after that there is 6 month parental leave that we can divide as we like. So happy that my husband works from home (he has his own graphic design company) so I’m very much looking forward to that next summer/fall! Although I might get really annoyed of him if he’s home all the Time 😂 
It really sucks for you guys in the states that you have so short or from what I’ve understood (correct me if I’m wrong), nonexistant maternity/parental leave.

Don’t do an MLM like Younique...only about 1% of reps make a livable salary. For some security jobs, sales jobs, etc you can work from home! Or try working part time. Find a gig where you can rely on a paycheck..not rely on making only $1-$2k a month by bugging your friends online lol 😂 No hate honestly for people who succeed and love their MLMs, good on y’all for being successful! But almost no one is, and with a new baby you’re going to want a job where you can rely on money coming in regularly!

I work in IT as a software test engineer, currently living in the south of Spain, we’re planning on moving back home in March, and i’ll be working remotely until baby is due, then I will take my maternity leave and afterwards I plan to keep working remotely. But in this field of work that’s not hard to do 🤷🏼‍♀️

My job now is very demanding. Where as im constantly lifting heavy stuff. Thinking about going down to part time seriously but I'm also a busy body. Being a stay at home mom would drive me crazy. Tried it before with my boys ages 4 and 5. Didn't last more than 2 months.

I own my own business, so most of my work is from home. I'll have a few weeks to recover before I have to do any real trips/driving, so that is a big bonus. And even then it's only a few hours round trip twice in a day.
