Mine closed up and when I was 14 I took ice cubes to the back and front of my earlobes and shoved my piercing studs through and have had them ever since, it also didn't hurt.

I bought a piercing gun in high school and gave myself second and third piercings loll it didnt hurt to bad it's just the initial shock that you "feel". just make sure you keep it clean so it doesnt infect
