When did you start a pacifier and did it help with sleep?

Did introducing a pacifier help your baby sleep? We are in leap 1 and baby girl is definitely wanting to cuddle and nurse constantly which is cool but I am wondering if she would sleep a bit more at night with a pacifier. She’s almost 4 weeks

We started using it while in the hospital to help him thru pricks since he was jaundice. He didn’t really take to it until about 3 weeks old. Now at 6 weeks it helps soothe him to sleep along with butt patting and white noise

We've been using a pacifier since day 1. We are formula feeding so the hospital didn't care. I think it helps him settle but once he's asleep he usually spits it out.

How do you get lo to like the binky? Mine just spits it out the moment we try to put it in his mouth. I just want to sleep on my bed again. 😫

We introduced a pacifier around 2 weeks. My LO would cry to be nursed all the time & would pass out almost immediately (sometimes), like he was using my breasts to soothe in addition to feed. He sleeps way better since we started using a pacifier & hasnt had any nipple confusing, there was no issues with nursing moving forward for us.

We have LO paci when we left the hospital, he hates his car seat and will scream while in it unless he has his paci. We use the tommee tippee ones. He is also exclusively breastfed and have had no issues with nipple confusion. I spare my nipples from becoming a paci that way. And he likes it during the day also, but once he goes to sleep for the night he spits it out and doesn’t use it again until morning. My LO is 10 days old today.

I started giving it this past week (3 weeks) in ebf so i didnt want to confuse him. Sometimes he will take it and other times he gags and spits it out🤷‍♀️
