when on a relationship break should you still call your boyfriend or girlfriend (hun, babe, love, etc?)

And have you ever been through this while you are the one that loves this person and still want to be together?

How is a person able to calm down their emotions when they want to stay with this person but the other wants a break but still tells you that they miss you, you are loving, noble, funny and so on; and they tell you they love you plus text you every morning and night even if it's just for a little while.

Why does it feel so confusing?

I'm going through this and my heart really cant take it and I just want to be with him.
