My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. He is a police officer. Today I was going about 10mph over the speed limit. I know there is no excuse for that, but I was trying to reach the bank on time so I could make a payment. I’m really struggling financially right now and just trying to make ends meet. Long story short, I hear police sirens behind me and I’m getting pulled over. Once I pull over I realize that it’s my boyfriend who pulled me over. I laugh thinking he’s going to let it go but he actually writes me a ticket for almost $200. I asked him to please not do this as I can’t even afford my daughter’s daycare bill this month and he told me next time i will think before I speed. We are supposed to go on a date tonight but I just feel heartbroken that he would do this knowing how much I’m struggling. Would you break up?
