TTC need thoughts!!!

I’m so confused on this app it say my period is 7 days late and I’m 21 dpo but still have a NEGATIVE test reading! I’ve been have period like symptoms for about 3 days my cycle is normally 36 and I mean 36 like clock work and now it’s says on cycle day 42...... any thoughts?
