Why is TTC so hard these days?!?! Here’s my thoughts!
I’m beginning to think that a lot of the foods we consume nowadays is what’s causing infertility in a lot of couples. It used to be easier getting pregnant. Now, I know a lot of my friends and myself have been trying to conceive either baby number 1 or 2. I myself have been trying for almost 2 years to conceive baby #2 and no luck. I even went to get checked to make sure everything was good to go and I’m fine. It took a full year to conceive our first child. I’m at the point where I’m coping with the idea that I may never get pregnant again. It hurts so bad to think about it. We really want that second baby.
My point is, a lot of food if you don’t buy organic, contains tons of pesticides, preservatives, hormones, genetically engineered, and so on. We never really know what we put in our bodies unless you’re one of those people that always reads through all the ingredients. I personally don’t have time to keep up with everything that’s in my food and organic is so expensive.
I grew up in my grandparents farm in Mexico till I was 8 years old. My grandparents ate organic all the time and we were eating literally from farm to table. Both my grandparents are still alive, my great grandpa live till 115 years old, my aunts and every woman I knew were popping babies left and right without the help of IVF or fertility drugs. Why can’t it be like that for us? Why does everything we eat here in the states have to be injected with crap?!?!
I might not have all my facts straight, so don’t jump on me if I’m wrong. This is just my opinion and something I started thinking about. Why do you think is so hard for women to get pregnant these days?
