Best age gap between 2 kids?

Question

My husband and I don't agree on how long we should wait after this baby is born to have another one (even though we still have 6 months until the first is even born 😂). He says he wants to have one right away and get them out of the way. I want to wait 5 years. What are your opinions?

I think 3 years is perfect. I had my second son when my first was 2.5 and it was hard to explain to him I needed him to shhh so I could put his brother to bed lol you know what I mean tho? I think at 3 they are better at that and my sons are best friends I think the whole "they won't be friends with such and such years between them" is total BS. Our kids spend so much time together they are going to be friends no matter what. Now between my youngest and this baby will be 4 years and I'm very happy about that. I think two years or less between babies kind of robs the toddler of a lot of moms attention. They are still babies at 2

I say that until the first kid starts pre-school or kindergarten, so you have time to spend with your second child without making the first one feel excluded.

I'm biased as my oldest brother is 10 years older than me and my other brother 5 years... then there is me and my sister only 14 months apart... so I think somewhere in between would be perfect 5 years was way to big a gap that my brother and I hated each other and for the most part still do. And then my sister and I were so close when we were younger we fought so much and now aren't very close. My husband though is 3 years younger than his bro and 3 years older than his sis and they all get along really well. So in my opinion 2-3 years would be perfect and what I will be aiming for.

I have 3 kids. 6, 4 and my daughter will be 2 inApril. Their spacing is nice. They are all best buds and the two older ones are super excited. They have already informed their entire schools :)

My oldest will be 10 and my youngest will be 7 when the new baby comes. I had the first 2 young and when I had the 2nd my 1st didn't really understand and it was a lot having 2 little ones!!! Now that I have such a big gap I am pretty excited I have 2 little helpers this go round and they understand better when mommy is sleepy or sick and are just so helpful this Time around

My oldest will be 10 in November. I have a stepdaughter who is 4. We have pretty big age gaps with our kids - but I think it's kind of nice because they're all at different stages in their life so we can do age specific things with just them, rather than having to ensure everyone is included all the time. This way they all get their one on one time with us - but we also do family stuff.

My oldest is 8 and we have a 7 year gap between him and our 2nd but I'm pregnant again and this one is due 2 weeks before my 2nds second birthday. I'm ok with it being this close because this is going to be our last child but it depends on yall.

Me and my sister are 3 years apart and are the best of friends but again it depends all on you and your feelings.

I like 3 years apart, you get to have one on one time with your baby and as they start gaining independence, you add a new baby. Cost wise you'll also be working your way out of diapers for the older kid when you're stocking up for the newborn, etc. My son will be 2 and a half when the twins are born in March. :-)

My boys are 2.5 years apart. I think that's a good gap. They fight a lot but they also are best friends. My youngest will almost 6 when I have baby #3.
