Is it normal for a baby who's teething to not want to eat as much? My 4 month old was eating 5-6oz every feeding although he wouldn't wake up at night to eat anymore. For the past 2 and a half days, he seems to be itchy from his mouth. He'll try to put his whole fist in his mouth and just bite down on it. And now, he's gone back to eating 4 ounces every feeding and he's sleeping quite a bit more since then. To the point that he won't wake for over 4 hours and so he won't eat until he wakes up. I've tried feeding him while he sleeps, but it doesn't work. He just won't eat and I've tried waking him up to eat and he'll end up just falling asleep on me and still won't eat. Is this normal with teething babies? I've been checking him for fever, but thankfully as of now, he hasn't had any fever. I'm worried because I don't want him to get sick from not eating right or something. I got him baby orajel for day and night time. Any home remedies that work for teething babies? I'm really worried about him not eating properly.
