Vacation with 2 kids 2 and under.
Husband and I are in desperate need for a vacation. He’s got 2 weeks saved up and by the time we want to take vacation he will probably have an entire month saved by then. We live 2000 miles away from family as he’s military. So we rarely see them. We were thinking of planning a cruise in June or July. The thing is we will have a 2 year old son and a 2 month old daughter by that time. Is it okay to bring a 2 month old on a cruise like that? If she gets her first round of shots and is breastfed? Everyone is telling me to leave the kids behind but I don’t want to do that since I’m nursing and can’t pump and bring that on the ship and freeze it. It would be too much work and I have mom guilt if I leave just my 2 year old behind when he could enjoy the trip just as much as us. Should we maybe wait until December to go? Idk how I feel about waiting that long but I don’t want to risk getting my daughter sick either by taking her to another country or taking her on a ship with tons of people that could be carrying god knows what. Not to mention we have to fly to the port. Unless I go on a cruise to Hawaii as we are based on the pacific coast. Not sure what to do at this point. All I know is we want to go some place tropical and we have a certain budget to stick to. Any other ideas or suggestions are welcomed.
