Should I circumcise my baby boy?

I live in America where most boys get circumcised. My fiancé wants our baby to get it done but I am not for it at all. I am so attached to this baby I am terrified of them taking him from me to o this cosmetic procedure. Can I get some mommas advice, or just words to calm me about this? I am 35 weeks pregnant and he will be here before I know it I need to make up my mind.

I know it sounds terrifying, but I feel like daddies probably have the best instincts on this. I have known many men who were uncircumcised and absolutely hated it. They felt super self-conscious and “different”. Also, it’s a lot harder to keep clean if you don’t circumcise. Not saying it’s impossible, but once your child grows up, they may not be as hygienic as they were when mom and dad cleaned them. 
Ultimately, it’s up to you. If we were having a boy we would definitely circumcise, but it doesn’t make you a bad parent if choose to do it or not to do it.

I have a son and my husband and I didn’t know if the baby should be circumcised or not. We asked the doctor who was a male and said that having a baby circumcised is a cosmetic procedure and not medical. He stated that because as a adult and taking care of our babies we should also know how to clean the area and also educate our babies. 
By that being said my boy is not circumcised.

I had planned to get my son circumcised because they say it prevents a lot of stuff. But when he got here I just couldn't. They were born with it, it's a part of him so it's not really natural to cut him. And I just couldn't bare the thought of putting my new baby through that.

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. The penile skin is adhered to the the head until he is old enough, late adolescence - preteen. It is not to be pulled back and cleaned under. It’s a self cleaning thing, like vulvas. I feel that the skin is there for a reason, and the penis has it’s own secretions, like women do. Cutting the foreskin makes penetration dryer and creates friction because the skin no longer moves freely.  Just some things to consider. Ultimately, it’s up to you. My husband is circumcised, but if we have a son, he will not be.

My husband was circumcised but he is against doing it to our children. I watched an interesting documentary on Netflix last week called American Circumcision, and what I learned makes me agree not to do it.  Definitely check it out and get him to watch with you. No other industrialized country has widespread nonreligious circumcision. It’s medically unnecessary.

Honestly on here you're gonna get tons of mixed extremely opinionated answers. I highly suggest looking up information both for and against it, talk to your doctor's and do research on the doctor who would be doing it. I don't see a problem with circumcision if that's what the parents want, but didn't personally do it because the doctor who does it locally where I'm at had 5 botched surgeries in 6 months, so it wasn't worth it to us

We circumcised! Uncircumcised men in my family had issues resulting in it being done when they were adults! My hubby was circumcised, so we did so with our boys! I even sat through the procedure! It’s went well, fast, simple, and the boys did well!

Teach your son how to clean properly- and use condoms/ sex ed so he can becareful of STDs and everything. 
I mean, I wouldn't want my vag cut.
