So back in September (it’s now January) I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put on synthyroid. My doctor hasn’t talked to me about it or anything, so I’ve done all the research myself - just so that I know what is going on with my body.

Recently I went for another blood test and my doctor said my current prescription of 25mcg is working. I was just feeling around on my neck and right where the thyroid gland is, I feel a hard bump on only one side. I have neck pain frequently - specifically on that side. Also I’m constantly exhausted no matter how much sleep I get.

I went for an ultrasound (for my thyroid) last friday but haven’t heard back yet.

I’m especially worried because my grandmother had thyroid cancer... So I’m wondering if these are normal symptoms or not.
