Did/Are you going to have a big party for your child’s 1st birthday ??

We did with our first because it was our first child. But this time around, I plan to do something much smaller for baby #2s, first birthday.

I may just have like a cook out cut the cake sort of thing. Baby isn’t going to remember anything and most of the time the party is so stressful with planning and ppl the baby get tossed in everyone’s arms and she is fussy. Ya not my kinda event. 🤭

We didn’t have a “big” party, we had a get together with family and a couple of close friends with party food and cake. We didn’t decorate or anything like that, it was pretty casual.

No, we just did a smash cake photo session because my husband and I aren't the type to throw parties or even go to parties lol

Yes, absolutely!👌🏾 However, the choice is yours. We wanted to give our daughter a first birthday party so it was our choice. She had a pretty big party, the theme was African Princess. On her birthday, we took a road trip to Atlanta and had a fun day at the aquarium, zoo, and Legoland. Both sets of her grandparents met us there. Her party was the weekend following her birthday. Her and my mom share a birthday so we included my mom a little bit as well, but she wanted all the attention to be on her granddaughter, not her. We also took her to Disney. Of course, everyone does not see the purpose of parties or going "all out", but we do. We plan to give her a party next year as well, maybe not as big (haven't decided yet). 🤷🏾‍♀️

We have a big family, so yes. I love parties!

With my first and second child they both had about 80+ family members and friends come celebrate their first. We will have to do the same for our third child or it wouldn’t be fair. What makes it even cooler in my opinion is even my stepdaughter celebrated her 1st birthday at the same location as our two children. And we plan to have the thirds first birthday there as well.
