Due March 12, due to get married March 31st!!!! 😳

Hi ladies, so my partner and I have been happily planning our wedding for around 6 months or so now (everything is booked, deposits paid etc). The only thing is we recently found out after 2 m/c and "giving up" I am pregnant! We are extremely happy of course - BUT I'll be due so close to our wedding date! I will also be giving birth by planned c-section (due to previous complications). This will be my 3rd c-section. We can't afford to lose all that money by cancelling the wedding, and the thought of our family complete with our rainbow baby at the wedding is just great! But I'm worried about my recovery! I will have the section 2-3 weeks before the wedding. Am I mad?! Reassurance needed!! 😟😊

It's a risk but how were your other recoveries? I'm 15 days post emergecy c section (first child). I feel pretty good and I'm really active. If you usually feel like that a few weeks after then it should be fine. Just make sure you have everything completely sorted for the wedding before you have baby. I found the last few days before my wedding more stressful than the first few weeks of being a first time parent!! Delegate where you can and make sure there's no last minute things to do.

Will they be taking you full term worth your c section out of interest ? And as the wedding did you by any small change get wedding insurance ? Sometimes it covers stuff like this ? If not ... Talk to your venue and defiantly see if they would consider changing the dates ... But it would also mean talking to your registry office and and changing the dates too if you've already paid for that I don't think that part is refundable unfortunately :( Good luck and hope all goes well for you :) keep us up to date with your plans I love hearing about people's weddings :)

How were your previous recoveries? You'll know better than anyone how you heal and what you feel up to after giving birth. If your previous recoveries have taken longer, then perhaps it's worth asking the venues etc if you can reschedule? If they're decent then in the circumstances I'd expect them to be willing to change the dates for a minimal cost - they've got several months notice and will probably be able to book someone else in anyway.

My first was emergency so recovery was about 4/5 weeks before I began to feel like myself. But me second was planned and was much better, I felt like myself within 2 week or so, plus they deliver you 1-2 weeks before your dd with electives, so I figure I should have about 3/4 weeks recovery i hope!
