Mirena vs. Copper IUD

Hello ladies!

I’m looking for a comparison of these two IUDs. After I had my daughter I had the Mirena for two years. I had it removed and am 30 weeks pregnant with my son. After he is born I plan to have another IUD inserted since I had such a good experience the first time around.

This time I’m considering the hormone free copper IUD instead of the Mirena. I didn’t have a problem with Mirena, but wanted to get options or experiences from those who have had the copper IUD or those who maybe have tried both.

Any advice? Suggestions? Anyone had both and prefer one over the other?
