Initials - what do you think of?

Those are the initials for a potential name for our little boy.....but my husband says it makes him think of an awful gay slur. It never crossed my mind so we've asked some friends and some thought of it immediately others never saw it.

What do you think? My brother is gay and so maybe I'm overly sensitive....the name is so cute so don't know what to do!

I think you should do what you want. Initials arent used very often but i honestly wouldnt want anything monogrammed because i feel like people would notice.

Kids will find a way to pick on one another over anything. If you change his initials, they'll find another way to pick. Go with your heart and stick with the name you love. Plus, initials are made prominent like they used to.

I see what your husbands concerns are and kids now days are pretty jerkish. My initials are BAB gave my daughter the same initials. I got made fun of for my initials cuz guys said they stood for big ass boobs and big ass Brittany :-/ I had a friend who's initials were KND and her nick name was kandie because of it. It's something you shouldn't have to worry about but unfortunately do have to worry about.

We haven't definitely got our baby girls name in stone. But when deciding we were adamant it wouldn't begin with a B as we already have a A, C and D! Didn't want to look like we're working through the alphabet! Lol.

First thing I thought of, but unless you're into monogramming initials don't come up very often.

I wouldn't have thought that either...and if it becomes an issue you can always monogram with the last name initia in the middle :). A baby at our church was recently given the initials BAD, but it was just pointed out once as a cute joke and nobody really cares...the slur is a bit of a stretch of the imagination, imho.

I wouldn't have thought of it, but now that it's been mentioned, I can kinda see it. However, I'm a firm believer that kids usually stay away from initial jokes. (My sisters kids are ant, and rat. They don't get teased for their initials.)
