When to buy nursing bras?

Hi Ladies! FTM here and I am wondering when I should start buying some nursing bras. I just don’t know what size I will be and how much my breasts will change once I am nursing. Should I buy a few of those generic S/M/L ones and then wait til after the birth to buy some of the more fitted ones that need a specific size? I just don’t want to go out shopping once he’s born for the first few weeks but want something to have in case I feel like wearing a bra around the house. Thank you in advance!!

I bought these while I was pregnant and underwire was becoming too uncomfortable. The sizing is s/m/l/xl and each size covers a variety of cup sizes.

I needed new bras in the middle of my pregnancy. Bought comfy nursing bras. BEST decision ever.

I would just buy them now. My boobs were already huge and got bigger around 20 weeks. I just bought nursing bras because I will need them eventually and there’s no point in spending money on maternity bras. I bought mine from target. I need underwire and it’s really comfortable

Motherhood maternity runs occasional sales on super comfy nursing bras (without the annoying underwire) and camis! I got bras for $8 and camis for $10! I usually wore a small pre pregnancy and stuck with the same size and it worked out fine for me!

You’ll probably need a bra sometime before the end of your pregnancy, but as far as nursing bras go, I’d say by 30+ weeks you could buy a nursing bra. My favorites were bravado (just after birth), cake (after the enforcement settled down), and oh la lari for a cute nursing bralette!

I definitely had to wear a bra around the house when we got home from the hospital because I was leaving so much and I needed to use nursing pads immediately. I had one that I bought before baby came, but almost immediately placed an online pick up order and made my husband go get them for me (a 2 pack from target). I am usually a S, but I went with M with them all and they fit well. The first bra is a little "nicer" and the 2 pack are "tank top" style. So far, I don't see the need for a more fitted type of bra, especially since our breasts will fluctuate in size a lot over the next few months.

I bought 2 during first trimester because I couldn't stand my own due to underwires and materials, made sure to buy one size up. They still fit pretty good, maybe when baby is born I will buy another 2 (I am 38 weeks), I also bought 3 maternity tanks but haven't used them yet.
