Had my 36 week appointment yesterday at 36+4 and my ultrasound from 2 days ago showed a shortened cervix with beaking of the membranes. Meaning my cervix is opening and thinning! Apparently my cervix is also dynamic, which means that it's moving between 1.9 and 3 cm. If it were any earlier, I'd be on bedrest, but since it's only just started happening and I'll be term this weekend, they'll just let me go into labour naturally! Only scary thing is that my placenta was low lying throughout the pregnancy and they weren't able to visualize it this last u/s so I need another one and I might not be able to get it before labour starts. And that could mean a c-section. So wish me luck!
