Bad Cold Advice?

Question

My 17 month old caught a bad cold at daycare. We're bringing him by the hot shower, letting him sleep often, boogie wipes.
We just started using the baby chest rub stuff. He does have a fever we're trying to control with tylenol and he's coughing a little. He also has a runny nose.
Anyone have any products that work well for him? He's just miserable 😥

I like Zarbees  chest rub over Vicks..... zarbees  cough and mucus or just cough.... and a humidifier  at night (they sell inserts that are i believe  lavender /eucalyptus) ...... and now that they are a year, You can use  Childrens Motrin.  I find that it helps with a fever longer than tylonel.

A nasty cold with a fever might be flu. Bring baby to the doc to be sure. It's an easy painless nose swab.

You don’t want to give Tylenol too early for a fever because the fever is actually an immune response and fighting the virus. Give the fever a chance to come down on its own a little. When my daughter had her cold recently we monitored her temp for a day while the fever came down. Not that Tylenol doesn’t have any applications for a high temperature,  but something like 101 you can wait for it to reduce on its own 
We used zarbees baby cough syrup, baby rub, nasal aspiration, ointment on the nose to avoid chapping from runny nose, warm steamy shower, humidifier if you have it

We use Vick’s plug ins when our daughter has a runny nose. They seem to work overnight for her, but make sure to do it at the safe setting for kids if you try it.

We use hylands baby mucus and cold relief and it helps a lot. Also sodium ascorbate (buffered vitamin c)  daily to help boost immune system and elderberry.
