Is it okay to have a cold while pregnant?

I've had a cough and scratchy throat for about two days is it something to be worried about while pregnant?

Answer

No but if it lingers for a while don’t be shy about calling your OB. I’m on antibiotics right now and after just a few days I already feel a million times better! I just had to call the office and tell him what symptoms I’m experiencing and he called in antibiotics for me. This is the second time now that I’ve needed antibiotics and it is so much better than suffering.
