How about wait till baby comes or ask for a sweep? If you're actually far along enough to have baby your doctor will do one. But castor oil is dangerous. A potential risk is death for your baby. Are you really that sick of being pregnant that you'd risk putting baby in the nicu or even having them pass away?? Oh and so you know some doctors/nurses/hospitals will report you to cos if you do take it

Not worth the risk. Whoever came up with this drinking castor oil shit is a moron. I have heard multiple horror stories about Moms losing their babies after doing this. My doctor told me it is 100% not safe!

I waited until my doctor said I could try and start inducing labor myself. I tried everything I could think of,  this was my last resort, I only drank half of what I was told about 6pm and within a couple hours I was in labor,  got to the hospital about 2, water broke at 5 and had him at 8:19. I never had the diarrhea like everyone says.

I’m ashamed to admit it but I tried it with my second and it was the biggest mistake ever. It didn’t induce labour, I just had the shits and awful cramps. Not contractions, cramps as if you’re extremely constipated. This lasted all day and I was just extremely exhausted and dehydrated. The pain was awful

Was told I could try it. And all it did was clear out my system. And I still went another week before having her.

I tried it with the permission/encouragement of my midwife 4 separate times. It sounds insane but my baby was measuring big and we were trying to “naturally induce” to prevent a c section. I was even dilated when I tried it and still nothing. I think it’s total crap... literally 😂. Two of the times it just made me throw up, the other times let’s just say my system was completely cleared out. I really don’t recommend it.
