Weight struggles

So I’m not the healthiest. I just shovel fatty foods in my gob then cry because im fat. But I’ve been trying to work of my Christmas blubber I’ve gained..do you think a half an hour walk every day/every other day would help. I’m not trying to lose drastic weight and don’t want to push myself to far and give up. My question is will my stomach tone up from walking? Or will my heart health etc just improve?
