Wisdom tooth removal..

So I just went to the dentist today because of a chip tooth turns out it was because my wisdom tooth was pressing down on it causing it to snap. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I was debating on just getting laughing gas. Has anyone just used laughing gas instead of going under?
