When to have my SO come home?

Okay y’all my boyfriend works an hour away from our house and we live about 15 minutes from the hospital. Im wondering if I start having contractions while he is at work when should I call him to come home? I was thinking if they are like 4-5 minutes apart for an hour I’ll call him or is that too close together? 
He typically works 6 days a week so I have no clue what the chances of him being home when I go into Active Labor will be🤷🏼‍♀️

Your OB should give you guidelines of when to come in. For me, it was 5-1-1. Contractions are five minutes apart, last for one minute, for an hour. 
Everyone progresses differently and it’s hard to know how fast or slow your body will move when it’s go time. 
For me, I plan to let my husband know when the contractions are timeable. If they are consistently even 10 minutes apart, the fact that they are regular means something. This is also my second - and with my first there was only 6 hours between when contractions starting at home and holding a baby - so I’m on the side of letting him know soon in case things move faster than expected.

I’m thinking the same. My partner works all over the place, every day is a different location so I’m a bit on edge about the timings. My last 2 labours lasted 3 hours each so that doesn’t give me a lot of time as a guideline, I’m hoping it happens at the weekend when he’s home! Lol
