I recently restarted my cycle and I mentioned to my doctor I was breastfeeding and how important it was to me to continue but she prescribed Syronyx which is levonorgestrel-ethinyl-estradiol. Everything I’ve read says NOT to use this while breastfeeding even the giant folded paperwork that comes with the pills.

What combination pill is actually safe while breastfeeding? Should I go to the mini pill? Is it effective even though I’m “part time” BFing now?

Anyone have any experience with this specific pill and has it affected your BFing at all?
