Should I worry?
Just went yesterday for a fetal echocardiogram because my OB was worried about an irregular heartbeat. Well everything came back fine - but her position was causing some issues getting all the clear imaged the cardiologist wanted.
She is still in a posterior transverse position (horizontal, with her head at one hip and butt at the other with her spine facing my belly) and my placenta is anterior so that was also in the way during the ultrasound.
I’m no longer worried about my little girl’s heartbeat but that I’m 34 weeks and she still isn’t head down.
Everyone I talk to says don’t worry about it and that she’ll move when she’s ready but doesn’t that mean if she doesn’t move on her own I’ll have to have a cesarean??
At my last appointment I asked my OB when to do dilation checks and if he’d manually move her and he seemed unphased and said 38 weeks in when we’ll start to talk about that and discuss options.
This is my first and I’m scared she won’t move in time and they have to induce me with a scheduled c-section and that is not at all something I want to do. The idea of being cut open and not entirely conscious after she’s born scares me to no end.
