Happy Birthday Glow!

Gunce • Head of research at Glow. Unwilling infertility expert. 2 kids after 6 IVF treatments.

Glow was born a year ago today - and since then, hundreds of thousands of women from around the world have used Glow to gain more insight into their health. The Glow community has also been part of a growing movement that’s helping to change the perception around taboo topics like fertility and trying to conceive, something we’re immensely proud and honored to be a part of.

At this one year mark, we’d like to extend a huge thanks to you, our Glow users. Glow would not exist without its community of vibrant, curious, passionate women, who track their health and contribute to a movement bigger than any one person - to help all of us learn more about women’s reproductive health.

From the start, we designed Glow to be an intelligent tool that gives women full control over their reproductive health. We’re data scientists by trade and technologists at heart and set out to combine our skill set with our passion to create change and change lives. With your help, Glow is now powerful resource women worldwide can access to learn more about their health and fertility. We’ve already discovered new insights about fertility thanks to our users and their anonymized data:

We are thrilled to report that our combined efforts are working. In less than a year, Glow has helped more than 20,000 women conceive, and along the way you’ve shared with us many inspiring testimonials, community topics and feedback.

A handful that hit home…

Mary, who became pregnant using Glow after a 3 year turbulent journey shared, “It was the perfect app to keep me accountable and outline a plan for me. I was very grateful for the reminders to get busy or to stock up on ovulation tests.”

Audrey who told us that she first learned about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) from Glow Genius and has since been diagnosed by her doctor with PCOS.

Jin, who shared that Glow is “better than all of my other helpful apps. Combined.”

Gabriella, who told us that she uses Glow to get to know her body, so that she can take preventative steps before problems arise.

This first year also saw us growing the Glow family with the release of Nurture, which continues the education process for moms to be and their partners, while keeping both mom and baby happy and healthy. We’ve also heard from new Glow moms who are growing their families too, and they shared with us adorable photos of their newest additions…

These stories and moments are just a few of the hundreds of thousands posted on our site and in our community. We set out to create something meaningful that would help women learn more about their cycles, bodies and health, and these stories of hope, education and empowerment have us looking forward to what we can accomplish together.

Thank you all for an incredible first year - we can’t wait to hear from you as we continue to grow.

Here is to the next #YearofGlow!
