I have an ergo and it’s not my favorite carrier in the world. I prefer wraps when they’re tiny and then by the time my 4yo was old enough for a carrier she was too heavy and didn’t like to be carried anymore. The few times I used it with my nephew tho, it still put a lot of pressure on my lower back and I consulted quite a few babywearing friends of mine that all said I was wearing it correctly.

Check to see if your area has a baby wearing group. Many have meetings or lending libraries so you can test drive carriers before you shell out the money on one.
