TMI question

So I'm feeling as though the baby has dropped and was wondering if that can cause one to have more bowel movements? I've had like 3+ daily and I've read that can be a sign that labor is coming, but was wondering if it's just because he's dropped. First time mom, so this is all new for me. Thanks!
