How many calories?
Gathering a list of things to ask my OB at my next appointment lol but I thought I’d see if anyone’s doctor has already given them this answer. I started pre-pregnancy at a normal weight & normal BMI. My doctor said up to 35 lbs is considered normal weight gain for me. I’m trying to keep it around 20 but won’t be upset if I go to 35. I’m staying active and eating very clean as well.
Before pregnancy I was eating about 1900 calories a day because my workouts would burn between 500-800 calories. I’ve toned down my workouts and I’m burning about 200-300 calories per workout. How many calories should I be eating a day at 12 weeks?
I’ve heard you don’t need any additional calories in the first trimester so I haven’t added any extra, currently eating about 1600 calories a day on the days I don’t workout & 1700 on the days I do. Does that sound about right?
