Why are Huggies made like this?

I just opened a pack of Huggies that we got at our shower and I hate that the back scrunches (idk how else to describe it). When I take it off of him, the Velcro folds in automatically and gets covered in poop so I can’t wrap it up properly. I did not have this problem with our Pampers packs. Am I the only one having this problem with Huggies? Why are they made that way? I’m returning the rest of the Huggies we got at our shower. 
Also, are there other brands I should avoid that do the same thing?

I recommend not taking off the nappy fully before wrapping it. Lift legs, wipe poop off, then roll from the bottom to the top as you pull it out. You can then wrap the tabs on either side. This’ll avoid the tabs folding in as they’re still partially flattened by bubs bum.

It’s made like that to keep poop from going too far up their backs. It fits their waist better 🙂

The elastic waist keeps the poop in. 
It’s the only diaper that prevented blowouts up the back for us.

They may not be the diaper for your little one. We had more blowouts with pampers because my daughter is too small for size 3, but looked uncomfortable in size 2. I also hated the pampers Baby dry because they don’t hold poop well. I gave them to my best friend for his daughter because we had so many problems with them. The Huggies work well for us because my little chunkamunk has big thighs and they fit closer so we don’t have poop leak out. We did have an issue with her getting poop up her back when she was jumping in her jumper the other day 🙊

I hated Huggies with my daughter. She had some massive blowouts. Shit would end up everywhere. Idk why but the cheaper brands always worked better for me. They were the only ones she wouldn’t leak threw or have blowouts in 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's got a little pouch to keep poop from shooting up and out the back. That's the main reason I like the huggies best.

I hated that too with huggies I think it was for size 1 but when we had a size 2 box of huggies from our shower it didnt have the same problem. So maybe it's just certain sizes.
